MÁS PBL is a movement started by Carissa Duran in 2023 to bring project-based learning to more students. Carissa Duran is a lifelong educator in pursuit of justice. Committed to disrupting predictably inequitable outcomes, Carissa is passionate about creating the most engaging and effective learning opportunities for our most underserved students. 

After being hired in the Escondido Union High School district to do just that, Carissa developed the concept of MÁS PBL, which is about Making And Sharing projects that inspire… projects that empower… projects that create a sense of belonging… projects that disrupt predictably inequitable outcomes for all learners.

Because PBL is not just for some students. PBL is for all.
